Mike comments that the financial market is showing lines of life; I have to disagree with you 100%. The current markets are tied to the real estate fall out, mortgages and a slump in new housing construction. More and more banks are holding back on financing, even for small businesses (non real estate / construction) due to future risks. FACT: approx 1 million homes will go into foreclosure by the end of 2011 due to the economy and our leadership, or lack of. Thus, more and more businesses will go under and we will NOT begin to see a turn around until 2012 or 2013; so sorry mate there are NO signs of life in the credit market. I am CEO of a nation wide well known bank.

After participating in today's online chat with Eric Zarnikow from the SBA, there are still some details that need to be worked through with the program. Overall, it seems like a step in the right direction to help the flow of credit to small businesses from the banking sector.
